Durham County match

 

                The four teams from the Durham County squad will play Dorset in Division One of the British Darts Organisation at Willington Club today, 3 October and tomorrow, Sunday 4 October. The Ladies B team will start the matches and will be followed by the Men’s B team match on Saturday. The Ladies A team and the Men’s A team will play on Sunday.

                Spectators are welcome on both days.

 

Oakleaf Colliery League

 

                The League Pairs Championship took place at Easington Colliery Club with 35 teams taking part. New champions were guaranteed as no previous winners of the prestigious competition were included in the draw.

                From Group 1 the high powered Durham County pairing of Craig Anderson and Dave Price of Easington Lane Bonnie Pit Lad went through by defeating Paul Clark and Steve Lawson of Blackhall RAFA in the group final.

                Paddy Lenagh and Linda Ithurralde of Coxhoe Red Lion won Group 2, beating Mark Thompson and Chris Bradley of Hartlepool Victoria Arms in their group final.

                Jeff Harrison and Ian Whittaker of Houghton Comrades beat John Cairns and Gary Storey of Coxhoe Red Lion in the Group 3 final, whilst Mick Calvert and Alan Patterson of Houghton Comrades won through in Group 4, beating Dick Young and Graeme Hills of Hetton Shepherds in the decider.

                In the semi finals, Anderson and Price defeated Lenagh and Ithurralde by two legs to nil, while the all Houghton Comrades semi final was won by Harrison and Whittaker over Calvert and Patterson by two legs to nil.

                Craig Anderson and Dave Price of Easington Lane Bonnie Pit Lad were crowned League Pairs Winners 2015/16 after they beat Jeff Harrison and Ian Whittaker of Houghton Comrades by 3 legs to 1 in an excellent final.
