Bishop Auckland manager Colin Myers will give new keeper Chris Porter his debut in their away game at Marske today.

Former Darlington keeper Porter, who had a spell at Bishops earlier in his career, will be their third recognized keeper of the last eleven days, and counting emergencies, he will be their fifth in the same period.

First choice Peter Jeffries is out for the season with a bad hand injury, and his replacement Jake Jackson suffered a broken nose and an ankle injury against Sunderland RCA the other night. Assistant manager Steven West and midfielder Gareth Ayers have both deputised during matches.

“Being a goalkeeper is a very dangerous occupation for us at the moment!” joked Myers.

Meanwhile, Myers has signed striker Dale Jardine from Sunderland RCA, while he expects former Darlington midfielder Adrian Webster to return.

Marske, who had a good win over Team Northumbria in midweek to put them six points above the relegation zone, will give fitness tests to defender Ryan Grier and striker James Magowan.

Spennymoor are looking for 12 wins from 12 matches against Celtic Nation at the Brewery Field.

Moors are in magnificent form, having beaten 6-0 Bedlington in their last league game, and followed it up by winning 5-1 at Bridlington in the Vase last Saturday. Manager Jason Ainsley could choose an unchanged side.

CN have just appointed former Moors boss Tony Lee as their joint manager, and they could include a new signing.

Shildon are at home to fourth bottom Durham City and they give a belated debut to new striker Jamie Owens, signed from Billingham Town, but they are still without defender Justin Keegan, midfielder Lee Chapman and strikers Billy Greulich-Smith and Chris Hughes because of injury. Midfielder Chris McCabe and striker Adam Johnston will both have fitness tests.

City, looking for their first win under new boss Adam Furness, include new signings Spencer Brown and Jonny Giles from Durham University, but keeper James Winter and midfielder Craig Hindmarch are both missing because of injury.

West Auckland are looking to bounce back from last week’s defeat against Synthonia when they go to Team Northumbria, and they include defenders Richie Paxton and Darryl Hall, who have both returned to the club from Sunderland RCA and Shildon respectively.

Dunston, who are unbeaten in their last six matches, are at home to Sunderland RCA, and manager Billy Irwin will probably choose from a full squad. Furious RCA manager Neil Hixon brought his players in for extra training on Thursday after their defeat the night before by Bishop Auckland, and will include new defender John Parker, signed from West Auckland.

Two teams who are going great guns at the moment, Guisborough and Whitley Bay, meet at the King George. Guisborough, who are eighth following their win at Synthonia in midweek, add Lee Bythway and Joel Guy to their squad, but they will give fitness tests to Craig Bishop, Gary Wood, Paul Roddam and Nathan Evans.

Whitley are now up to fifth in the table but they will be missing defender Chris Reid, while striker Ash Davis and midfielder Lee Paul Scroggins will have fitness tests.

Norton go to Hebburn hoping for a much needed boost. Keeper Jim Provatt and midfielders Shaun Clarke and Jack Proctor are all back in the frame, but midfielder James Crossman and striker Richie Storr are both missing. This will be Norton’s ninth away league game of the season, they’ve only played twice at home.

Hebburn welcome back Dean Walker after a spell at Hebburn, while defender Jeff Forsyth and Tony Stephenson also return. Former Rochdale midfielder David Borley and defender Carl Paterson have both been released.

Newcastle Benfield expect to complete the signing of striker Dave Molloy before their home game against Consett, and they also welcome back Scott Canham, but defender Luke Gillespie is missing.

Consett, welcome back midfielder Ryan Bell and striker Luke Sullivan, but they are still missing long term injured David Brown and Gavin Ross.

In the fight to avoid the drop, second bottom Billingham Town are at home to third bottom South Shields, the two teams separated by just a point. Town will be missing centre half James Middleton, while they have replaced striker Jamie Owens, who has gone to Shildon, with Harrison Davies from Consett. Midfielder Craig Perry and defender Daniel O’Brien both come back into the squad. Midfielder Danny Wray has also returned to the club after a year at neighbours Synthonia. Shields expect to be at full strength.

Bottom of the table Newton Aycliffe are at home to Billingham Synthonia, looking for their second win of the season, and manager Allan Oliver includes midfielder Jamie Dawson, signed from Norton, but keeper Scott Pocklington and midfielder Sean Tarling are both suspended. Synners, who are fourth include defender Andy Burton , who missed the midweek defeat by Guisborough.

Second division leaders Ryhope CW, who have won their last seven matches, are at West Allotment, and the division’s joint leading scorer, Jonny Butler, returns after suspension. Greg Swansbury, Dean Arkley and Nathan O’Neill are all missing. Allotment are without striker Dean Lancaster and midfielder Liam Hudson.

Northallerton, who are second five points behind, are at home to Chester-le-Street and include new midfielder David Alderson, signed from Norton, in their squad. Striker Colin Anderson also returns.

Chester include new midfielder Mark Patterson, signed from Consett, while there are fitness doubts over Stephen Buzzeo, Calvin Gowland, and Olly Forsyth, while defender Gary Turton returns after suspension.

Darlington RA are at Stokesley, and two members of the management team, Nick Harrison and Jamie Smith, are both hoping to be fit. However, James Howlett, Stephen Cheeseman and Sam Vernalls are all struggling.

Stokesley, who have yet to win at home this season, will give a fitness test to their leading scorer Ben Bonner, while another striker, Ross Hodgson, returns after injury. Centre half James Bell is missing because of injury.

Tow Law, who scored five last week at Chester-le-Street, are at home to Whitehaven, and manager Gary Anderson could name an unchanged team, although he adds Thomas Watkinson and Carl Pottinger to the squad. Tow Law are yet to win at home this season, although this is only their fifth home league game.

Thornaby, without a win in their last five league matches, have a tough away game at Jarrow Roofing, who have a doubt over first choice keeper Josh Carmichael, while striker Josh Allen is injured.

Horden, who are fifth bottom, go to Birtley with new signing Stephen Hodgson from Thornaby in their squad, while long serving defender Darren Atkinson returns. Birtley are without Craig Marron and Peter Henderson.

In the other games, Brandon are at home to Ryton and Crawcrook, who have won their last three matches. Washington are the latest club to challenge Morpeth’s unbeaten record when they go to Craik Park. North Shields are at home to Alnwick.
