Former Sunderland defender Dickie Ord has quit as manager of Durham City, so James Winter and Dan Madden will take charge of their away game at Newcastle Benfield on Wednesday night.
Ord had been in charge of City for over two seasons after the departure of Lee Collings, and helped the club through one of its most difficult times following the withdrawal of its main sponsor.
However, they lost several players during the summer, and they are currently in the bottom six of the ENL First Division.
Chairman Austin Carney said: “Dickie has decided to step down, and it’s important that we respect his decision.”
