Nathan Evans pulled one back, but Town went 4-1 up at half time through further goals by Glenn Butterworth and Jamie Owens.

Guisborough had more possession in the second half, but all they had to show for their efforts was a goal by Lee Bythway from a free kick ten minutes from the end.

Guisborough manager Chris Hardy said: “On another day we could well have won this game by 2 or 3, given the amount of chances we created, but that wasn't to be and credit must go to Billingham Town for their first league win.”

Chester-le-Street manager Colin Wake said: “I thought it was a fair result. In the first half Allotment deserved their half time lead and in the second half we played much better and deservedly equalised. It was the first point the club had gained against Allotment since they came into the league.”

West Allotment manager Paul Stoneman said: “I couldn’t have asked any more of the lads after last week’s defeat. We were excellent in the first half and battled really hard in the second half.
