Spennymoor still have their 100 per cent record, and are still to concede a goal in the EBAC Northern League after they won 2-0 at Newcastle Benfield last night.
Moors took the lead through Gavin Cogdon when he dribbled past the keeper and slotted the ball past two defenders on the line, and Micky Laws headed another in the second half.
Spennymoor manager Jason Ainsley said: "I'm very pleased, it was a solid rather than spectacular performance. Benfield is always a difficult place to go to and to keep another clean sheet is more than I could have asked for."
Newcastle Benfield manager perry Briggs said: "In the first half, I thought we controlled Spennymoor quite well, and then we gave a sloppy goal away. In the second half it was men against boys."
Darlington are top of the table after beating Newton Aycliffe with a late header by David Dowson.
Newton Aycliffe manager Allan Oliver said: "I thought we had the better chances in the game, and missed three very good chances. There were some very good signs there for us, and over the rest of teh season I think we'll win more than we'll lose."

Bishop Auckland had a good 3-1 away win at Bedlington..
Bishops took the lead after 11 minutes when Kieran Megran opened up the Bedlington defence for Sonny Andrews to score, then Arran Wearmouth made it 2-0 from an Andrews corner. Bedlington pulled a goal back with a Stuart Elliott penalty, but Jamie Harwood made it 3-1 with a header at the other end from an Andrews corner.
Bishop Auckland manager Colin Myers said: "That's two good wins in four days against Bedlington. I don't think they could have grumbled if we won 5-1. Our defence was the most solid it has been all season."
In the second division , leaders Ryhope Cw came back from 3-1 down to beat Alnwick 4-3. Alnwick led at half time with goals by Wyn Fremlyn (2) and Chris Moffet, but Ryhope hit back in the second half through Jonny Butler, his second of the game, Chris Winn and sub Nathan O’Neill.
Ryhope CW manager Martin Swales said: "We played very well in the first half, but we had chances and scored one, they had four chances and scored three. We scored our second goal on the hour and never looked back. Credit to Alnwick, they played one up front and stopped us playing our usual passing game."
Northallerton are now second after they beat Birtley 4-0.
Northallerton took the lead when Adam Emson headed in a Gavin Parkin free kick, then Carl Chillingsworth made it 2-0 from another Parkin setpiece. They made it safe in the second half when Steve Butterworth made it 3-0 from a Chillingsworth pass, and he got another in the last minute. Northallerton manager Mark Fanning said: "Good result and three points. We started slowly, struggled with our passing and control, but once in our stride, we controlled the game."
North Shields easily won at Washington by 4-2, scoring three times in the first half.
Crook had an excellent 4-2 away win at West Allotment, scoring twice in the dying minutes to clinch the points. Manager Gary Pearson said: "A draw would probably have been fair, but that's football -- we deserved a draw at Darlington RA last Saturday and lost! Derby game next against Tow Law, will be grey or bald soon." It was allotment's first league defeat of the season.
Esh Winning went down 1-0 at Morpeth. Esh manager Andrew Soppitt said: "The first half was even and end to end, and we played very well, but after they scored, we stopped playing and created little."
