Consett manager Kenny Lindoe could rest several players when they face second division Northallerton in the last remaining second round tie in the Brooks Mileson Northern League cup tonight.
Several players carried knocks in the Vase win over Ramsbottom last Saturday, while midfielder Jonjo Dickman will definitely be missing with a leg injury.
Northallerton manager Mark Fanning could name an unchanged side.
The draw for the third round of the league cup is: Norton & Stockton v Consett/Northallerton Town, Shildon v West Auckland Town, Guisborough Town v Spennymoor Town, Team Northumbria v Hebburn Town, Billingham Synthonia v Alnwick Town, Newcastle Benfield v North Shields, Dunston UTS v Sunderland RCA, Bedlington Terriers v Gillford Park.
In the only second division game, Darlington RA are hoping to extend their unbeaten run to three games against third bottom Horden.
Player-manager Nick Harrison and striker Fred Huscroft return to the squad, but David Harrison is struggling because of injury.
Stephen Jackson and Michael Joseph are both missing for Horden, but Andrew Summerbell returns.
