Second Division Easington have been threatened with suspension from the league if they don't pay their outstanding fines.
The league took the step afere two cheques sent by the club to pay fines and the league's bulletins at the previous management committee meeting were returned by the league's bank.
The minute from Thursday night's meeting reads: "Easington Colliery FC have failed to pay the amounts due for fines( 2 x £25 ) levied at the meeting on 13th October 2011. They have also failed to pay the amount due for Bulletins ( £45 ) by the due date having forwarded cheques on two occasions which have been refused by the League’s bank. The secretary reported that he had instructed Easington Colliery FC that the League would not accept payment from them by way of cheque and that all payments had to be made by cash, postal order or BACS. Easington Colliery AFC are fined £25 for each occasion where they failed to pay the amount due from the previous meeting and they must pay the original fines, plus the amount due for the Bulletins and for Bank Charges due to the League within 7 days otherwise the Club will be suspended from the Northern League."
