Hebburn manager Paul Bennett is set to wield the axe when his side go to Easington in the Ernest Armstrong Memorial Trophy tonight.

Bennett was furious that his team conceded a last minute equaliser against Northallerton last Saturday, and he said: “After Saturday’s lack lustre performance, I do have a few players that will be rested and others left out due to poor performance and attitudes. We can accept not playing well every match, but can’t accept not working hard and having the right attitude every match.”

Darlington RA, who are at North Shields, are without striker Steve Allison, but James Muir and Michael Barnett both return.

Esh Winning play Second Division leaders Team Northumbria, and they welcome back striker Craig Coates, but Alex Wilson and Stuart Thompson are both missing.

Crook have a tough tie at home to Bedlington, and they will be without injured pair, goalkeeper Marc Riches and striker Kevin Devine.

Bedlington hope to give a debut to striker John Campbell, who has been released by Darlington.

Spennymoor, who are at Morpeth, could be unchanged from the team that won 4-1 at Sunderland RCA on Saturday.

Birtley, who are at Guisborough, are without striker Ben Johnson because he has already played in the competition for Chester-le-Street, plus four other players because of injury. Midfielder Craig Marron returns.

Shildon are at Washington, and manager Gary Forrest will probably choose from a full squad.

In the North Riding Senior Cup. Northallerton have doubts over Stuart Hardy and Gary Cook at home to Stokesley, while Martin Butterworth could return after a seven week absence. Northallerton have already beaten Stokesley in the league cup this season.
