Norton’s new signing James Magowan is set to make his debut for his new team tonight.
Magowan will make his debut in Norton’s attack at neighbours Billingham Town in the league cup, but another new striker, John Alexander, is unable to play as he has already played in the competition for Ashington – ironically his only appearance for the Colliers.
Craig Norman and Craig Perry both return for Town, but defender Chris Dunwell is injured.
Sunderland RCA play Bishop Auckland for the fourth time this season, the two clubs having played each other twice in the league, and once in the FA Vase. The RCA have won two, and the other was drawn.
The RCA’s new signing, Alex Benjamin, can’t play because he has already played for South Shields in the competition, as has Ian Davidson, while keeper Gary Hoggeth is injured. RCA manager Neil Hixon last night put defender Ian Maddison on the transfer list.
Bishops will be without midfielder Steve Salvin and defender Phil Shead.
Second Division basement club Horden are at home to first division leaders West Auckland, and manager Brian Honour adds Rhys Morris and Jack Proctor to his squad. West will give two keepers, Mark Bell and Kyle Barlow, fitness tests before the game.
Chester-le-Street are at Alnwick, and they expect Hayden Scott, Lee Chapman , Scott Donaldson, Michael Coghlan, Brett Gillatt and Danni Lay to be available as they all missed Saturday, but they are missing Dan Smith with a hamstring injury. Alnwick have appointed Danny Olsen as their new manager.
Billingham Synthonia are at Whickham, and they will be missing midfielder Chay Liddle and full back Curtis Collantine, while striker Nathan Jameson will have a fitness test. Whickham have made their top scorer Tony Thirkell available for transfer, but include striker Johnny Mann, signed from Newcastle Benfield.
Dunston make the journey across to Cumbria to play Whitehaven with a full squad, and include keeper Jonathan Carmichael signed from South Shields.
In the league, South Shields take on Whitley Bay at Filtrona Park. Shields have placed defender Dan Kirkup on the transfer list.
Jarrow Roofing have made defender Paul Wardle for transfer.
