Second Division Alnwick Town are looking for a new manager, following the departures of Dougie McKeown and Steve Gibbard.
The pair tendered their resignations, even though the club is lying fourth in the second division after being promoted from the Northern Alliance last season.
Club secretary Cyril Cox said: "There has been a disagreement over club policy, so they have decided to leave."
The club runs a strong youth policy, with 15 junior sides feeding into three senior sides.
Reserve team manager Paul Yeadon will take charge of Alnwick's home game against Birtley on Saturday.
