Bedlington Terriers comfortably won the first game of their Rich tour in the early hours this morning.

Bedlington, who have been invited out to Canada and the US by American businessman Bob Rich, defeated Candian side Niagara United 4-1 this morning.

Bedlington defender and recent signing James Novak put through his own goal to givce the homeside the lead, but guest player Paul Brayson (2), Richard Flynn and Paddy Atkinson hit back to give Terriers victory.

However, the Terriers have picked up a couple of knocks, with Colin Morton and Mark Convery carrying injuries of tonight's game with Buffalo for the Rich Trophy.

The visit of the Bedlington party to Buffalo has certainly caused quite a stir, and they have been featured on radio, tv and local papers during their visit. There is also commentary on tonight's game on local Buffalo radio.
