Durham FA have decided to help every senior Saturday and Sunday club in the county with their league fees.
The amount a club must pay in subscriptions varies from league to league throughout the county, and so DFA have decided to give every club £50, costing them around £40,000. The gesture will be appreciated by clubs, especially with fund raising being especially difficult in many cases at the moment.
Frank Pattison, President of DFA said: ‘’As long as we are in a position to assist financially, we will look at any initiatives that arise to help our member leagues and clubs especially in the current financial climate. As a County FA the Directors and Members of Council consider it their duty and responsibility to assist wherever possible and further projects are currently being investigated.’’ DFA has already helped clubs with personal accident insurance and league administration grants.
