Shildon are hoping to keep the pressure on the leaders when they entertain Billingham Town in the STL First Division tonight.

Shildon dropped back into third last night because of Spennymoor’s win over Bishop Auckland, but manager Gary Forrest feels that his side can continue their recent good form. “It looks as if we’re regaining our top form now after the enforced break.”

Forrest will choose from a full squad, while Town, who had a good win at West Allotment last Saturday, add striker Andy Jennings and full back Richie Dacombe to their squad, but Glenn Butterworth is missing.

League leaders Consett will give midfielder Jonjo Dickman a fitness test before their home game with Ashington, who will be at full strength, but are disheartened after going out of the Vase last Saturday.

Billingham Synthonia, who have strung some useful results together recently, are at Stokesley , but will be without striker Colin Iley and defender Andy Forster.

Norton, who went out of the Vase like Ashington at the weekend, are at home to Penrith (7.45) and welcome back striker Gavin Parkin, who was cuptied, but midfielder Shaun Clarke is unavailable.

In the second division, Northallerton will be at full strength at home to Crook Town, who welcome back midfielder Anthony Dobell and will give striker Andy Appleby a fitness test
