Marske United manager Paul Burton said that his team was "very poor" against Grangetown in their North Riding Senior Cup tie last night.
Marske won on penalties after being held to a 1-1 draw in ninety minutes by the Teesside League club, and Burton admitted that Grangetown should have won.
"I thought we were very poor last night and just couldn’t get going at all," he said.
"I had a right go at half time and we came out and score after about five minutes. I was hoping this would be the lift we needed but unfortunately if anything we went into reverse, Grangetown picked it up and deservedly equalised.
"I felt Grangetown were unlucky and did enough to win the game. I thought we struggled all night and some players just didn’t look interested so obviously pleased to go through but disappointed with the performance, if we play anything like that on Saturday at Newton Aycliffe we will get murdered."
