Bishop Auckland chairman Terry Jackson has strongly denied rumours that former boss Harry Dunn is on his way back to the club – and has thrown his support behind current boss Colin Myers.
Rumours have been increasing recently that Dunn, one of the most successful managers in the north east over the last two decades, will return to the club he led out of the Northern League into the Northern Premier League in 1988 and on to further honours in league and FA Cup, but Jackson has slammed the rumours as “a load of rubbish.
“The rumours are doing the club a disservice, and are disrespectful to both Harry Dunn and Colin Myers, and also to Bishop Auckland FC.
“It is the last thing on our mind to be changing the manager, in fact we have no desire to change.
“In fact, our only point of interest at the moment is to bring revenue into the club, now that hopefully the decent weather is returning. These rumours that we’ve met Harry Dunn to discuss the manager’s position are completely false. I can’t make a firmer rebuttal.”
