Callum Provan gained the honour that everyone wanted when Bishop Auckland opened their new Heritage Park on Sunday.
Callum was part of the 30 minute supporters’ match after the opening ceremony, and scored the first goal of the game, indeed the first in any organised game on the new pitch, which was in excellent condition.
Bishops are having an open day on Saturday from 11am onwards, and visitors will be able to view the various facilities and enjoy a meal or a drink in the function room.
The first competitive game is against Middlesbrough on Tuesday, kick off 7pm.
