STL Second Division club Hebburn last night moved quickly to replace departed boss Rob Marsden by appointing Paul Bennett.
Bennett was manager at First Division West Allotment Celtic until early September when he suddenly quit. Since then, he has had a brief spell as a player -- he was a keeper at several clubs in the league -- at Crook Town. Andrew Wood has been appointed as part of the management team.
Bennett's first game in charge will be on Friday night, at home to Seaham Red Star.
