Newton Aycliffe rounded off a good week for them by easily winning 5-0 at neighbours Darlington RA in their local derby last night.
Aycliffe beat Consett in the Durham Challenge, and now they're four points clear at the top of the table going into Saturday's games.
They were simply too strong for the RA, and took the lead after 18 minutes when Paul Broom intercepted a poor back pass and rounded the keeper.
It was 2-0 on the half hour when Elliott Gardner sidefooted in from ten yards, and soon after the restart it was 3-0 when Shaun Tarling latched on to a flick on and easily beat Phil Pentone. A dreadful back pass split the RA defence and Craig Mickle scored the fourth on 63 minutes.
Josh Knox rounded off an easy win from a few yards in the 75th minute.
