New defender Chris Beckett makes his home debut for Newton Aycliffe in the STL Second Division today.

Beckett was signed from West Auckland, and played a major role in Aycliffe's 2-0 win at Marske on Tuesday night.

Manager Alan Oliver might also make another new signing for the game against theCumbrians, who are unbeaten in eight league games.

League leaders Guisborough, one point ahead of Aycliffe, are at home to troubled Gillford Park, and they welcome back striker Chris I’Anson, but Lee Bythway, Mark Nicholson and Joel Guy are all missing. Gillford have yet to play a home game this season because of ground problems they’re having with their landlords, and after this game, only have seven away games left.

Crook, who have won eight successive home games, face Seaham at the Millfield, and manager Brian Maitland will put Paul Bennett in goal because Ian Myers is unavailable. Midfielder Anthony Dobell will have a fitness test.

Chester-le-Street, fresh from their 5-0 win over Guisborough last week, are at Marske United, and will give midfielder Robbie Draper fitness tests. Marske, who are sixth, are missing midfielder Josh Myers, who has a broken leg, while midfielder Dale Mendum and striker Rob Jones should both return. Neil Waterfield has come back to the club after a brief spell at Pickering Town.

Darlington RA player manager Nick Harrison will have a fitness test before their home game with Hebburn, as will Kyle Swankie, but Lee Johnston and Paul Freary are both missing. Hebburn include striker Dan Olusoga, signed last week from West Auckland, while Daniel Hall and Danny Gray both hope to return. The RA won the reverse fixture last week at Hebburn.

Northallerton meet Horden, both clubs struggling in the bottom four. Northallerton striker Neil Tarrant is unavailable, while defenders Craig Winter and Danny Shoulder will both have fitness tests. Horden will probably be missing injured defender Paul Greenwell.

North Shields, who are fourth thanks to three straight wins, are at home to Birtley, and they will give fitness tests to Stephen Robinson and Andy Wright, while Birtley will have five players missing because of injury, but striker Sean McAvoy returns.

Washington include new defender Martin Quinn, signed from West Auckland, and striker Andy Inness from Esh Winning in their squad for the trip to Team Northumbria.

Bottom club Brandon, without a point so far in ten league games, are away to second bottom Morpeth a point above them and they are strengthened by the returns of midfielder Karl Everitt and striker Glen Robson, while manager Steven Cook might make at least one new signing.
