Horden manager Brian Honour revealed that he told his players some “home truths” after their 6-0 pasting at Crook on Wednesday night. Horden were in the game at half time at 1-0 down, but they folded in the second half after giving away a sloppy goal just after the resumption. “At half time, I patted the lads on the back because they had done really well,” he said. “But in the second half, there was some kamikaze defending, and we put ourselves under pressure. “It’s tough at the moment for the players, but we’ll keep going. There isn’t a quickfix, but I hope the players learn from their mistakes.” Horden have won just one league game this season, and they travel to Northallerton on Saturday.
