Crook manager Brian Maitland said he couldn’t have asked for more from his side at the Millfield this season.
Crook’s 6-0 hammering of Horden on Wednesday night was their eighth straight home win, to put them into the top three of the Second Division.
“Everybody did really well throughout the team, I was very happy with them,” he said.
“Eight straight home wins is a great start to the season, and I’m so proud of the players that they’ve done it. In some of our previous game we’d played ugly, but on Wednesday we managed to bring it out of the players a little bit, and they played some good football.”
Crook are at home to Seaham Red Star on Saturday.
