Darlington RA manager Nick Harrison is looking for a positive reaction from his players as they prepare for Saturday’s home game with Hebburn.

The RA’s recent good run came to a sudden end wit ha 4-1 reverse at North Shields on Tuesday night, and now he wants his players to bounce back with three points on Saturday.

“We weren't at the races on Tuesday” said Harrison. “We had to make a few enforced changes due to injury, work commitments and we looked tired from the previous three games. As much as we tried we never got going and it didn't show a true reflection on us.

“Our game is about tempo and hard work, unfortunately the tempo North Shields played at, plus our fatigue, made it a tough evening for us. Credit to North Shields they look strong contenders. We expect the odd humbling but the only important things is how we react to it and learn from it, as we did positively last week following the performance at Seaham.”

The RA were beaten by Shields sub James Luccock, who became only the second player in the division to score four goals in a game this season – and that was after coming on as a sub midway through the first half.
