More clubs are going to try Friday night football in the STL over the next month.
It's difficult for Northern League clubs to compete on Saturday with all the other attractions -- nevertheless overall attendances are on the increase -- so in an attempt to boost crowds, four Second Division matches have been switched in the forthcoming weeks.
The games are: Friday 8th: Whickham v Thornaby.
Friday 15th: Washington v Brandon.
Friday 22nd: Darlington RA v Newton Aycliffe.
Friday 29th: Hebburn v Seaham Red Star.
Brandon, meanwhile, have reported that their gates have doubled since they switched to Thursday night football.
