Sunderland RCA dropped closer to the relegation zone when they were beaten 3-1 at third bottom Team Northumbria last night.
The RCA took the lead through Andrew Brown in a goalmouth scramble, but Phil Lumsden levelled for Team Northumbria before half time. TN played some good football in the second half and scored through Lewis Aird and Peter Watling.
In the second division, Northallerton had a good 3-1 win at Birtley.
Northallerton took the lead when Colin Anderson scored from a Gavin Parkin corner on 41 minutes, then Graham Caygill scored the second from 20 yards just on half time.
Caygill made it 3-0 seven minutes after half time when he scored from the rebound after Anderson’s header was blocked. Adam Froggatt pulled a goal back near the end.
