Billingham Synthonia moved into the top nine of the ENL First Division with a 2-0 home win over Sunderland RCA last night.
Synners opened the scoring on 33 minutes when Nathan Porritt hit the post, and Joel Callender followed up to score. Callum Hassan added the second in the stoppage time right at the end.
Darlington RA jumped two places into fourth in the second division when they beat Birtley 2-1 at Brinkburn Road.
They took the lead on 6 minutes when Dale Elgie was given plenty of time to score from the edge of the box, then just after half time Louis Whensley scored with a good shot from a corner. Stephen Graham pulled a goal back for Birtley with 20 minutes left.
