WOKINGHAM winner Baccarat is likely to have run in his last handicap for some time after a hefty rise in the weights.
Richard Fahey’s sprinter landed the competitive Royal Ascot heat off a mark of 105 but has been put up 7lb to 112 by the assessor following his latest display.
Fahey will have discussions with Baccarat’s owner Sir Robert Ogden before coming up with a plan.
“He’s gone up to 112 now so that probably rules out handicapping for a while,” said the Malton handler.
“We’ll just have to sit down and think a few things over and see what there is for him.
“I’ve a few ideas running around in my head, but I need to speak to Sir Robert first.”
