Newcastle Reserves 3, Bolton Reserves 0
A YOUNG Newcastle Reserve side ran out comfortable winners against Bolton at Kingston Park last night.
Aussie winger James Troisi opened the scoring with Darren Lough and Jonny Godsmark also on target.
A goal-less first half was followed by an early strike in the second period from the Magpies. Troisi was on hand to finish from close range after a cross from Godsmark.
Full back Lough added a second in the 69th minute before Godsmark grabbed the final goal from the penalty spot in injury-time.
It was Godsmark himself who was fouled in the box by goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi for the spot-kick - the Trotters man receiving his marching orders for the offence.
Newcastle Reserves: Cook; Bertram, Lough, Doninger, Edgar, francis, LuaLua, Pattison, Danquah, Godsmark, Troisi. Subs (not used): Bell, Marwood, Wrightson, Morris, Ferguson.
