By tea on day two the Tykes had reached 17 for none in their reply – meaning they are still 531-runs behind their hosts.
Joe Sayers and Joe Root were unbeaten on five.
The home side’s declaration came just seven overs before the interval, with Murray Goodwin eventually ending on 274 not out and Andy Hodd closing on an unbeaten 32.
