DURHAM will start the 2019 Specsavers County Championship season with a trip to Derbyshire.
The fixtures for the new campaign are released today, with Durham heading to Derby to start a four-day game on April 5.
The county's first home game in Division Two of the County Championship pits them against Sussex, starting on April 11, with a change to the structure of the domestic season seeing a large chunk of Championship matches scheduled between May and July, to coincide with England hosting the Cricket World Cup.
Durham's Championship campaign ends with a home game against Glamorgan, starting on September 23.
To prevent one-day action clashing with the World Cup, the Royal London One-Day Cup tournament will be squeezed into an early-season slot in April and May.
Durham's first one-day game of the new season sees them host Northamptonshire on April 17, and their final Royal London group game takes them to Headingley to face Yorkshire on May 6.
Durham have confirmed that the one-day home game against Lancashire on April 30 will take place at South Northumberland CC.
The schedule for next year's Vitality Blast T20 competition will be released at 5pm this afternoon.
