ROY Hodgson has named the same England team that would have played last night for today's rearranged World Cup qualifier with Poland.

The England boss has stuck with the same 11 players that would have kicked off yesterday's game, which was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at Warsaw's National Stadium.

Conditions today are much better, with clear blue skies and strong sunlight. The pitch has dried out well and there are not expected to be any problems.

England will field Jermain Defoe as a lone striker - the Spurs man has been preferred to Danny Welbeck - with James Milner and Tom Cleverley expected to play either side of Wayne Rooney in the attacking midfield positions.

In total, Hodgson has made six changes to the side that beat San Marino on Friday with Glen Johnson, Joleon Lescott, Ashley Cole and Steven Gerrard also being recalled.
