NEALE Cooper is happy to have one player in at Hartlepool United from Sunderland - and would still love another.

Midfielder Craig Lynch signed on an initial month's loan last Saturday and made a quick debut, appearing as a substitute in the home loss to Carlisle United.

The 20-year-old impressed and will be on the team bus heading for Bournemouth this morning.

Lynch has two Premier League appearances under his belt and was part of the Black Cats' touring party to Korea in pre-season.

But this is his first spell away from Wearside and Cooper said: "Craig came in last week and did well, he came in last week to train and signed in time. I like what I see, both in training and from what I've seen in games. He has really good feet and came on in a difficult time.

"He's here and will play a part. Sunderland are fine with him coming here and he is in the mix.

"He can play left, right or off the front and gives us good options across the midfield. I like the balance he has showed in training this week. We are grateful to Sunderland for helping him come here.''

And, after Ryan Noble made nine appearances on loan last season, scoring twice, Cooper reiterated his desire to get him back down the A19 for a second spell.

"I still wouldn't mind Ryan Noble, we are in contact and see what the position is - it's on going,'' he said.
