PHIL Jagielka has been named in England's starting line-up for this evening's World Cup qualifier with Ukraine at Wembley.

The Everton defender replaces John Terry, who injured his ankle in the closing stages of Friday's 5-0 win in Moldova.

Jagielka is preferred to Gary Cahill, with Roy Hodgson opting to pair the defender with his former Goodison Park team-mate Joleon Lescott.

The change is the only alteration to the side that swept Moldova aside so comprehensively in Chisinau.

Jermain Defoe continues in attack, with Tom Cleverley once again expected to play in an attacking midfield position ahead of Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard.

Yesterday's three late call-ups to the squad - Raheem Sterling, Jake Livermore and Adam Lallana - have all been named among the England substitutes.
