Jemma Lowe, Jessica Dickons and Hannah Miley each won a medal as Great Britain enjoyed a good first day at the European Short-Course Championships in Szczecin.
Lowe, from Hartlepool, a double finalist at the World Championships in Shanghai this summer, took silver in the 200 metres butterfly in Poland, with Stockton-born team-mate Dickons claiming bronze.
Miley also won bronze in the 200m individual medley with Spaniard Mirela Belmonte Garcia winning both races as she displayed the sort of consistency that brought her three world short-course titles in Dubai last year.
Having qualified third fastest from the morning heats, Lowe was just a tenth of a second outside her British record as she stormed to silver in two minutes 04.04 seconds.
The 21-year-old is no stranger to the short-course podium, having won bronze at the 2008 Europeans and silver in Dubai 12 months ago, and admitted the result had boosted her confidence further ahead of 2012.
''I'm really pleased with that,'' Lowe said. ''I was confident going into tonight's final after a good swim in the heats.
''There are a lot of good fly swimmers in Britain at the moment so it drives us all to go faster.''
Belmonte Garcia won gold in 2mins 03.37secs, while Dickons took bronze in a desperate dash to the wall.
The ITC Bath swimmer has rediscovered her form since lifting 200m butterfly gold at this summer's World University Games and broke her own English record with a time of 2:04.80.
''It's been three years since I broke my personal best and I have done it a few times now, last week in Eindhoven and then today,'' said Dickons, who broke her long-course 200m butterfly personal best in Eindhoven last week.
After the 200m individual medley, Miley insisted she had come to the meet with relatively low expectations but clocked her fastest time in two years to take bronze in 2:08.34.
''I'm so pleased with that, that's the fastest time I've done in a textile suit,'' said Miley, who is due to compete on every day of the championships.
''I'm not usually a speed demon and I have been working on that. What a great start to the week.''
