RHYS Williams' knee injury does not appear to be too serious as the Middlesbrough defender has been retained in the Australia squad for tomorrow's game with Thailand.
Williams limped off after injuring his knee in the 72nd minute of Australia's surprise World Cup qualifying defeat to Oman on Friday evening.
Given the 23-year-old's dreadful injury record over the last two or three seasons, it was feared the problem could be serious and potentially rule him out of Middlesbrough's forthcoming matches with Blackpool and Peterborough.
However, Williams is part of the Australia squad that travelled to Bangkok for tomorrow's game in Thailand, raising hopes that the problem is all but healed.
