After limping off in the first half at the Keepmoat Stadium, Justin Hoyte misses out with a hamstring strain and is replaced by Merouane Zemamma.
Nicky Bailey, who also limped off in Tuesday’s win, was a doubt along with Hoyte, but the midfielder has recovered in time and takes his place alongside Rhys Williams and Barry Robson.
Marvin Emnes and Scott McDonald continue up front for Boro, who will be looking to keep chase with Southampton and West Ham United going into the international break.
