Craig White has left Yorkshire, opting not to re-apply for the role of first-team coach.
The 41 year-old former England all-rounder made his playing debut for the county in 1990, and has spent the last two seasons as Martyn Moxon's right-hand man after a spell as the coach of the second team.
The county's coaching staff is being re-structured in the wake of the relegation from the top tier of the County Championship.
White, Kevin Sharp, Steve Oldham, John Blain and Ian Dews were all invited to re-apply for their existing jobs in the knowledge that at least one would have to leave.
External applicants were welcomed to fill four positions to work under Moxon.
White turned down the opportunity to join Warwickshire as their bowling coach two winters ago, opting to remain at Headingley. He does not have the level four coaching certificate that was stipulated on the White Rose county's job advertisement.
