MICK Wadsworth last season said Hartlepool United would only win games with every player on top of their game, at full-pelt.
After three losses in a row, the coach was pleased to see his charges get back to their best and prove his words ring true this season as well.
The drive and determination absent in the past two games returned as Pools racked up their sixth win of the season and made it 14 away goals in the process.
"We knew the last five minutes would be tough but everyone played their part,'' he said.
"I thought Andy Monkhouse did remarkably well aerially and worked his nuts off for the team.
"Across the midfield did their jobs and Lids was better than he has been.
"He knows that and he won a lot more loose balls, headers and moved the ball better.
"And Murray was Murray, as he always is.''
Murray got Pools level at 1-1 with a lobbed header from the edge of the area and Wadsworth said: "If you get the delivery right on that free-kick it's such a difficult thing to clear.
"If you can tempt the keeper then that opportunity comes and credit to Paul Murray for fantastic opportunism.
"James's first goal was terrific and he's got that in his locker.
"He can really smash a ball with both feet. He just had a quick look and it was wonderful.
"But how we won didn't matter. It mattered that we got back to a more positive appreciation of Saturday evening.
"We've got two home games against two good teams and our tails should be up.
"We're in decent shape and it's been nice to turn around that little blip that we had.''
