BOXING: Savannah Marshall got her European Championship campaign under way in style with a comfortable win in Rotterdam.
Hartlepool middleweight Marshall progressed at the expense of Irish opposition, overwhelming Sinead Kavanagh 24-3 in a bout which saw her opponent take a standing count in the third round.
Flyweight Nicola Adams was too strong for Ireland's Katie Rowland, cruising into a 7-0 lead at the end of the second round before the Irish corner wisely decided to retire their fighter.
