GUY Wilks suffered apparent engine failure as his Intercontinental Rally Challenge woes continued.
Wilks' blow came on Special Stage Five at the Canon Mecsek Rallye in Hungary.
Škoda Motorsport´s Jan Kopecký moved up to second place overall in the Canon Mecsek Rallye with a win on SS5, while Peugeot UK driver Guy Wilks and local favourite Frigyes Turán failed to finish the stage.
Rival Andreas Mikkelsen was among the first to arrive at the scene of Wilks's stranded car.
He said: "I saw Guy [Wilks] by the side of the road. He's okay but there were spectators in the road as I was coming up to where his car was, so I had to slow down and maybe lost a couple of seconds."
