GUY Wilks is more determined than ever to reignite his title challenge as he prepares for this weeks Geko Ypres Rally.
The rally, the fifth round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, runs from Friday to Sunday.
Wilks, from Darlington, is currently sixth in the standings for the Peugeot UK team on 35 points. The table is headed by Skoda driver Juho Hanninen on 58pts.
He endured a miserable end to the last rally in the Ukraine when, while looking a strong contender for a podium finish, Lady Luck deserted him.
"More than anything else, I want to make up for my woes in Ukraine where I was eliminated from the fight for victory by a run of punctures," said Wilks. "My recent two days of testing were very fruitful. I think my 207 S2000 will be competitive and my objective is to get back into the fight for the IRC title."
