Switzerland manager Ottmar Hitzfeld insists that all the pressure will be on Fabio Capello in today's Euro 2012 qualifier against England despite recent questions being raised about his own future.

Hitzfeld was hailed as the country's saviour when he was appointed in 2008 but he is now under pressure following his team's poor start to their qualification campaign.

At the halfway stage the Swiss are six points behind England in joint third after picking up just one win from their opening four games.

To make matters worse for the German, his hopes of qualification took a blow when experienced strike duo Alexander Frei and Marco Streller retired from international football following the country's disappointing 0-0 draw with Bulgaria in March.

The pair hung up their boots after they fell out with a section of the Swiss support, who booed them during their final few games despite their decent international record.

Hitzfeld has also faced criticism for his handling of the qualification campaign but he remains bullish about Switzerland's chances of getting through to next summer's tournament and thinks his team's underdog tag could work in their favour.

"The pressure in every game is on the favourite so we have nothing to lose," said Hitzfeld.

"No one expects us to win. We want to prove that we still must count on Switzerland in this qualification.

"England can lose a lot. I wonder how England will cope with the pressure that will be on them tomorrow.

"I have a good feeling too. Training has been good all week and the players want to make up for their performances in the past."

Pressure will increase on Hitzfeld if they get a hiding at Wembley against an England team who ran out comfortable 2-0 winners against Wales in their last qualification game.
