Yorkshire are in serious trouble in their LV=County Championship match against Sussex at Hove.
This is after they lost five-wickets during the morning session on day three.
By lunch they had reached 115 for five on the South Coast – in reply to Sussex’s first-innings total of 548 for four declared.
The morning started in the worst possible fashion for the Tykes, when Joe Sayers was removed with just the second ball of the day for six.
His wicket was the first of three to fall in the first 28 balls – as Anthony McGrath and captain Andrew Gale then both played on to their wickets to depart for four and nought respectively.
This left the White Rose on 33 for three, before Jonny Bairstow was the next to go after a breezy 28 when he edged to second slip off the bowling of James Anyon.
There was also time for Gary Ballance to depart before the interval for 25 – leaving opener Joe Root and Adil Rashid at the crease when lunch was called.
Root is on 32, with Rashid on five. It means Yorkshire still need 284 more runs to avoid the follow-on.
