PETER CHAPPLE-HYAM’S Whey Sauce should find life a little easier than of late when she tackles the Lord Nelson Maiden Stakes at Yarmouth.
Having finished fourth in a hot Newmarket maiden on her debut last year, she was then pitched in against 1000 Guineas winner Blue Bunting in a Listed race.
Despite looking outclassed for her seasonal debut in the Musidora Stakes at York, she was not disgraced at all in finishing third behind Joviality and Barefoot Lady.
With black type now in the book, a win will be a priority for connections.

The third home, Trumpet Major, has since come out and hacked up while the fourth, St Barths, won easy at Leicester.
Wise Venture was sent off at 40- 1 which suggests even those connected to him thought he faced a stiff task in a traditionally hot race.
After the success Jarvis called him ‘‘a bit special’’ and stated that Wise Venture would not be very busy this season.
Mahmood Al Zarooni’s Universal was sent off favourite for his debut at Nottingham but could only finish fourth.
Big things were expected of him that day and Royal Ascot had already been mentioned.
He gets the chance to put things right in the Oadby Maiden Stakes at Leicester.

Obviously the handicapper does not like horses winning with contempt, so he has been hit with an 8lb rise.
Given time to recover rather than run with a 6lb penalty, Linda Stubbs’ four-year-old sprang to life at around the same stage last season and if he shows the same speed from the gate again in the Weatherbys Bank Handicap at Redcar, his rivals will not see which way he goes.
