MIDDLESBROUGH have decided not to appeal against a charge of violent conduct meaning that Marvin Emnes will start the first of a three-match ban tonight.
Emnes had until 6pm this evening to respond for kicking out at Sheffield United's Michael Doyle at Bramall Lane on Saturday.
Boro chose against appealing, fearing that the suspension would be increased to four games.
And that means, despite travelling to Ipswich, Emnes will have to sit in the stands at Portman Road, with Merouane Zemmama included instead.
Rhys Williams, rested, and Nicky Bailey (ankle) are the other two changes to the Boro team that won at Bramall Lane. Julio Arca and Tarmo Kink come in.
