SCORTON teenager Max Coates starts his title chase in the Ginetta Junior Championship this weekend at Brands Hatch. Coates will be driving the revamped, Harron Homes-backed black Ginetta G40 junior car in the two races on Sunday.
The Richmond Sixth Form Student is excited about the forthcoming season.
"I can't wait to get started again," he said. "It feels like such a long time since I was last racing.
"I have been preparing myself for the start of the season for ages now, so for the first round to be so close is really exciting."
After finishing second in the Winter Series at the end of last year, the MSA Academy member only has one goal.
"I want to win, I haven't worked so hard not to," he said. "It is such a big year for me, it really could be make or break in terms of career prospects, however I need more sponsorship to allow me to be able to finish the year."
The races will be shown on ITV4 on Sunday at 11am 4.45pm.
