Sunderland goalkeeper Trevor Carson has joined Lincoln City on a month’s loan.
The 22 year-old stopper, who was called up to the senior Northern Ireland squad for the first time in 2010, was understudy to Black Cats number one Craig Gordon for much of the 2009/10 Barclays Premier League campaign, beating off competition from Hungarian international and now-Ipswich Town keeper Márton Fülöp.
Carson previously spent time on loan with Chesterfield, making 20 appearances during the 2008/09 season.
He arrives at a Red Imps side which sits 24thin League Two ahead of a crunch game away at 21st-placed Stockport County on Saturday.
