FORPADYDEPLASTERER has made pleasing improvement since found to have been clinically abnormal after the William Hill King George VI Chase.
Plans are on hold for the 2009 Arkle Trophy hero after he was pulled up before the 12th fence in his first attempt over three miles at Kempton on Saturday.
The nine-year-old gelding has now returned to trainer Tom Cooper’s yard in Ireland, but will remain on the easy list for the next few weeks.
“Pady came home on Sunday,” revealed County Kerry-based Cooper.
“He’s OK now, his temperature is back to normal, and he is quite content with himself. It could have been a lot worse. It’s likely we’ll give him a bit of time off and then take it from there.
“We are none the wiser about whether he gets three miles or not.
“He ran no sort of race at Kempton so I’d be keen to give him another go (over three miles).”
