NEWCASTLE UNITED and Sunderland have named the same starting line-ups that warmed up for the Tyne-Wear derby with Premier League wins last weekend.
That means Newcastle, who have included the fit again Steven Taylor among the substitutes, have named Andy Carroll and Shola Ameobi up front once again for the occasion.
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce, brought up a Magpies fan, has also resisted the temptation to tinker, despite the return to fitness of left-back Kieran Richardson. That means Phil Bardsley will continue in that role.
NEWCASTLE UNITED (4-4-2): Krul; Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Enrique; Barton, Tiote, Nolan, Gutierrez; Carroll, Ameobi. Subs: Routledge, Lovenkrands, Perch, Smith, S Taylor, Ranger, Soderberg (gk).
SUNDERLAND (4-2-3-1): Mignolet; Onuoha, Turner, Bramble, Bardsley; Henderson, Cattermole; Elmohamady, Malbranque, Welbeck; Bent. Subs: Gordon (gk), Gyan, Richardson, Mensah, Da Silva, Ferdinand, Zenden.
