Hartlepool United have been plunged into a fight to save their League One life after being hit with a three-point deduction.
Pools were deducted the three points earned in the win over Brighton on Easter Monday after defender Gary Liddle played in the win game when he was due to start a two-game ban.
The deduction, imposed immediately, plunges Pools to 19th spot, just a point above the drop zone.
Chris Turner's side go to Brentford on Saturday, with Exeter hosting Huddersfield and Tranmere going to Stockport.
Pools must win to make sure of their League One status.
The club was also handed a £10,000 fine by the FA commission, suspended for a year and ordered to pay the costs of the hearing.
