The Readers Durham County League: After playing six games without a professional, Tudhoe finally hand a debut to Indian Alind Naidu at Esh Winning this afternoon.

They originally attempted to bring Teneto Willetts back into the League and then lined-up Fachin Rana, but he too was unable to take up the offer.

"We had the same problem last year and the absence of an overseas player for the early games probably cost us the championship," said secretary David Linford.

Naidu is an all-rounder and faces a tough baptism against the champions, who have made a good start, winning the three games which have not been affected by the weather.

Unbeaten Esh expect to be at full strength although they have a slight doubt surrounding Chris Hurst.

Leaders Willington have a free day and Evenwood will take over at the top if they defeat Brandon, who are missing Jim Allenby, a prolific run-scorer last season.

Brandon cannot call upon Ian Myers and Ian Hyde is called up from the seconds.

Kimblesworth are unchanged at home to Ushaw Moor, who are minus captain Stephen Hancock, so Steven Milburn will lead the side.

Hylton have a new skipper, former Sunderland player Lee Rushworth, who will be in charge for the first time at Crook. David Batty is still out but David Tate plays.

Darren Taylor is back from holiday and Ben Taylor steps up from the second team.

Crook give a first outing to Fazal Hussain, signed from Thornaby.

Shildon are without a trio of players at Etherley, with Chris Potter, Tom Pollock and Geoff Hardman all out. Balou Krishnan, Hiram Marambe and James Middleton come into the side as Shildon attempt to continue their good form.
